Our txakoli winery is set in a privileged environment in Getaria between San Prudentzio and Askizu surrounded by vineyards, where Gañeta winery has been making txakoli for over 40 years.
Txakoli Gañeta is a family run winery with an innovative inquisitive vision regarding new ways of producing txakoli ever since its beginnings, proof of which are its ultra modern installations.
We produce 3 txakoli varieties at Txakoli Gañeta: Gañeta, white, rosé and berezia, which offer Getaria txakoli consumers that greatly appreciated nervous finish in the mouth.
The Gañeta have kept the artisanal production and family legacy in mind at all times. More than 3 family generations have been producing txakoli Gañeta endowing it with genuine character and personality.

A legacy of experience and passion
Our history history
Txakoli Gañeta history dates back to the 19th century when Grandfather Manuel planted Hondarribi Zuri vineyards to produce txakoli artisanally, a tradition his son Jose María continued, passing on his passion for txakoli to future generations.
In 1992, Julian Ostolaza and Itziar Etxeberria, founded the Gañeta winery and set a small one up in the family farmhouse to start commercialising their txakoli. His innovative nature led to him equipping and modernising the installations over the years, adjusting them to new production methods to obtain top notch txakoli. Today, we have modern installations to produce and bottle Gañeta txakoli.
A new exciting change arrived at the hands of Paula and Enaitz Ostolaza who took up the helm of the Gañeta winery in 2021, i.e. a new generation very much aware of the Gañeta winery history and determined to uphold the brand and legacy of their aunt and uncle, who founded the winery, namely, Julián Ostolaza and Itziar Etxeberria.
The compass guiding this new journey is made up of: product quality, respect for the origins, not to mention the value of craftsmanship. This journey sees the opening of the winery to the public with guided visits and tasting sessions.
